He is born sometime in the three years of training in preparation for the arrival of the Androids. You first see him when Bulma takes him with her to meet up with everyone on the day the Androids are supposed to arrive. He laughs at Krillin. Later he pisses on Yajirobe, and laughs at him alot. Bulma decides to take Trunks to go see Vegeta, although Yajirobe doesn't think it's a good idea. They argue on the way there and wake Trunks up. He cries alot. #20 blows up the aircar but Future Trunks saves him and Bulma from the fall. Trunks cries when he sees Vegeta's scary face, according to Bulma anyways. Then Gohan takes him, Bulma and Yajrobe back home. Baby Trunks many adventures in the Cell Saga include him sleeping alot and clinging to Bulma. Seven years later, Trunks is best  friends with Goten and decides to enter the World Tournament. Vegeta and Trunks train in the gravity room. The gravity is tough on Trunks so he turns into a Super Saiya-jin. Vegeta can't belive he is a Super Saiya-jin already. Bulma flies them all to the stadium in the air car thing. Gohan says that they should not become Super Saiya-jins in the Tournament. Trunks and Goten are annoyed because they have to enter the Junior Division.  The first tournament is the Junior Division, and Goten and Trunks make it to the final easily. The fight is quite even, but Trunks wins.Trunks and Goten then knock out one of the guys who is in the final 20 and steal his costume so they can enter with the adults. Krillin has to fight some big buy, Piccolo has to fight Kaio Shin, Videl has to fight Spopovitch, Goku has to fight Vegeta and Gohan has to fight Kibito. Krillin is first to fight and wins easily. Next to fight is Piccolo and Kaio Shin. But when it is their turn to fight, Piccolo forfeits the match. Videl is next to fight against Spopovitch, she gets badly injured, and doesn't even cause any damage to Spopovitch despite how much she was attacking. After Videl's fight with Spopovitch, Kibito is to fight Gohan. Gohan goes to full power and Spopovitch and Yamo step in and steal his energy, and then run off. Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Krillin follow Shin to where Spopovitch and Yamo fly off to. Trunks and Goten wonder what's going on. Goten and Trunks fly off from the tournament and decide to go see where they're dads and Gohan went. They run into Videl who tells them about Babidi and Buu. Goten and Trunks get really excited and fly off to see the Buu monster. They soon find Piccolo and Krillin turned into stone, but they think they are just statues and Trunks accidently breaks Piccolo. Later, after Dabura has been killed Piccolo and Krillin turn back to normal. They watch Vegeta fight against Buu, but Trunks steps in when Vegeta starts getting beat up. When Vegeta gains consciousness he tells Trunks that he is proud of him and that he has to take care of his mother, he then knocks Trunks unconscious. When Trunks wakes up him and Goten are at the Lookout, they look around and find some food. Popo finds them so Goten and Trunks start beating him up. Goku stops them and tells them he has some training for them. Goku tells them about the deaths of Gohan and Vegeta and then tells them they have to be strong and learn the Fusion Technique so they can beat Buu. Goku teachs them the dance for as long as he can but he soon has to return to Heaven, so Piccolo takes over. Goten and Trunks soon master the fusion and fly off to face Majin Buu, but get beaten up.
