He was granted immortality by Shenron but after a fight with Goku and Piccolo he got locked in the Dead Zone by Gohan. However he managed to escape a few years later, (not 10 years later, that's a load of bollocks cos Gohan was about four when he locked him in the Dead Zone and he is around seven when he escapes) Garlic Jr goes to Kami's lookout and traps Mr Popo and Kami in little glass bottles. He then unleashes the Blackwater Mist turning all who breathe it in into evil peoples. Garlic Jr is quite chuffed with himself and makes himself the new ruler of Earth. He sends his Spice Boys, Spice, Mustard, Vinegar and Salt to go find Gohan. They return with Piccolo and Garlic Jr then lets them beat up Gohan. Krillin attempts to take Kami away from Garlic Jr but he has a force field type thing that stops him. As Piccolo is about to kill Gohan, Garlic Jr stops him because he wants to be the one to kill him. However Piccolo was either bluffing the whole time or managed to heal himself and nicks Kami and Popo freeing them from the glass bottles. Garlic Jr is a little pissed off. Kami and PoPo leg it with the Sacred Water while Piccolo fights Garlic Jr. Eventually Garlic Jr transforms into his larger form and they fight more. Gohan saves Piccolo by deflecting an attack at Piccolo. Krillin Kamehameha's Garlic Jr to fend him off. But it didn't really have much effect. Garlic Jr strangles Krillin and Piccolo for a while, then Gohan steps in and blasts right through the middle of him. But they obviously forgot that Garlic Jr is immortal but still try to kill him anyways. Gohan is hesitant in attacking Garlic Jr and he gets enough time to escape the attack. Garlic Jr notices that the Sacred Water is spreading across the Earth and neutralising the effects of the Black Water Mist and decides it is time to open up the Dead Zone. Garlic Jr laughs for a quite some time and eventually he is confronted by Piccolo and then Krillin. Garlic Jr attacks them but he realises this was a distraction as Gohan blows up the Makio Star, Garlic Jr's source of energy. He shrivels up and is eaten by the Dead Zone. (Not literally, but that would have been interesting...)
